Description
MarsColony is a multi-planet colonization metaverse combining NFT-based land ownership with DeFi-driven liquidity mining and yield-generating mechanics, inspired by old-school space settlement games. Users can claim virtual land plots on Mars as NFTs, with territory coordinates converted into blockchain tokens that prove ownership, and landholders can earn $VOTE governance tokens used within Mars DAO. Originally built as one of the largest GameFi projects on the Harmony blockchain, the project has expanded to the Polygon chain, and its open-source code (bots, smart contracts, metadata and price-oracle services) is maintained across roughly a dozen repositories under the marscolony-io GitHub organization.
