Mask Network is an open-source, free browser extension that integrates Web3 functionality into mainstream social media platforms, currently supporting X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, Minds, and Mirror. Its features include encrypted posts only decipherable by other Mask users, Lucky Drop (a social token-distribution product), Gitcoin and Snapshot voting integrations, NFT rendering, a Web3 File Service for permanent decentralized storage via IPFS and Arweave, and a DeSearch tool for finding ENS names, tokens, and NFTs within social feeds. The extension also bundles an open-source, unhosted multi-chain wallet (Mask Wallet) supporting 15+ EVM chains with swap, savings, fiat on-ramp, security-check, and approval-management functionality, built around a decentralized identity system (Persona) based on the Next.ID protocol. Mask Network also operates a separate staking platform (stake.mask.io) allowing MASK token holders to stake for rewards. The organization serves individual Web3 and crypto users seeking to use decentralized tools without leaving their everyday social media platforms, and integrates with 20+ web3 projects including CoinGecko, ENS, Gitcoin, Snapshot, OpenSea, Lens, and Farcaster.
