Massa

Massa is a layer-1 blockchain designed to solve the scalability-decentralization-security trilemma using a multithreaded, parallel block architecture. It powers Autonomous Smart Contracts (ASC) that execute on-chain without external triggers, and DeWeb, a fully decentralized web hosting solution for websites, domains (.massa via MNS), and dApp frontends.

Description

Massa is a layer-1 blockchain built by Massa Labs that claims to achieve over 10,000 transactions per second while remaining decentralized and secure, using a unique multithreaded parallel block graph architecture. Its core products include Autonomous Smart Contracts (ASC), which execute natively on-chain without relying on centralized bots such as Chainlink Keepers or Gelato, enabling use cases like recurring payments, automated trading, DeFi strategies, and evolving NFTs. Massa also operates DeWeb, a fully on-chain decentralized web hosting system that lets developers host both frontends and smart contract backends directly on the blockchain, register censorship-resistant '.massa' domain names (as NFTs) via the Massa Name System (MNS), and browse dApps without centralized intermediaries. Additional products include Gossip, an end-to-end encrypted, post-quantum secure, decentralized messaging app with no phone number requirement, built on the Massa mainnet. Massa serves Web3 developers, entrepreneurs, and blockchain enthusiasts building censorship-resistant, fully on-chain applications, and runs a grants and bounty program to fund community projects built on its technology stack (e.g., DeFi protocols, wallets, social platforms, and blogs already completed by ecosystem teams).
