MerkleTreeJS is a JavaScript library that implements Merkle Tree data structures for creating tamper-proof data structures and generating cryptographic proofs. It supports multiple hash functions (SHA256, keccak256, custom functions), standard and Bitcoin-style trees, multi-proof generation and verification, and serialization of trees and proofs to/from JSON. In addition to its core MerkleTree class, it offers a functional API inspired by viem for creating, manipulating, and verifying Merkle trees with a clean functional interface. The library is primarily targeted at developers, particularly those building blockchain, cryptography, or data-integrity related applications who need efficient proof generation and verification tooling.Grant Funding
