Metaisland is a comprehensive GameFi metaverse and social networking platform built with Unreal Engine 5, offering a play-to-earn, open-world experience on a tropical island. The project integrates a robust Web3 economy powered by its ERC-20 utility token, ISL, and an internal stable currency, WOK Money, all managed by a custom backend called WOK-OS. Gameplay is designed to be non-linear and adaptive, utilizing "Gaming AI" to create a persistent virtual world where players can complete quests, fight enemies, and interact socially. The ecosystem features ownable and rentable 2D and 3D NFTs, which provide in-game utility and access to special features. Developed by W.O.K Corp, the project has a detailed public roadmap and a rich lore established through a series of books and music. While a subscription model is planned for full access, a free-to-play version allows users to explore the metaverse.
