Mitosis

Mitosis

Mitosis is a DeFi protocol designed to transform liquidity positions into programmable components, addressing market inefficiencies like static, illiquid assets and exclusive access to high-yield opportunities. By pooling assets in Mitosis Vaults, users receive tradable, composable tokens representing their stake, enabling advanced financial strategies and democratizing access to better yields within a more efficient ecosystem.

Description

Mitosis is a network for programmable liquidity that addresses the crisis of fractured liquidity and opaque, private deals within decentralized finance (DeFi). By transforming liquidity into a transparent and verifiable on-chain primitive, it aims to create more equitable markets. The protocol allows users to deposit assets into Mitosis Vaults on various blockchains and receive tokenized, composable representations of their positions (miAssets and maAssets) on the Mitosis Chain. These tokens function as programmable building blocks for sophisticated financial strategies, such as trading or being used as collateral. As an Ecosystem-Owned Liquidity (EOL) protocol, Mitosis leverages collective bargaining power to provide all participants with access to preferential yields, moving away from a system of privileged information. Through programs like the Mitosis Expedition, the protocol bootstraps liquidity and rewards participants with points towards future governance token airdrops.
