Description

Namebase operates a non-custodial registry and registrar platform for decentralized top-level domains on the Handshake (HNS) naming protocol. Users can search, register, and manage second-level domains across thousands of decentralized TLDs (such as .wallet, .web3, .hns, and others), with registered domains fully controlled by the owner via their own wallet and keys. TLD owners can list their domains on the platform to operate a registry, set their own pricing, and collect payments directly from buyers, paying Namebase a registry fee and annual listing fee in return. The platform previously operated a custodial model (now at sunset.namebase.io) and has transitioned to the current non-custodial version, serving domain buyers, TLD/registry operators, and developers building on decentralized naming infrastructure.
