Neopets Metaverse
Neopets Metaverse was a 3D reimagining of the classic Neopets game, combining Neopian gameplay (NeoHome customization, Battledome battles, mini-games, pet care) with NFT collectibles traded on Solana and later bridged to Polygon. It served the existing Neopets fan community and Web3/NFT collectors who held its Genesis, Pizzaroo, and Masterpiece collections. The project has since been discontinued by the Neopets team, who redirected development resources elsewhere while continuing to support holders of its NFT collections.

Description
Neopets Metaverse was an alternate-universe, modernised 3D remake of the classic Neopets browser game, offering features such as NeoHome customization, a competitive Battledome, a library of mini-games, pet care and customisation, and a National Neopian Bank exploring gamified financial mechanics. The project ran invite-only alpha tests (including a Winter Edition) and issued NFT collectibles (the Genesis Collection, Pizzaroo's Unique Pizzas, and Masterpiece Collection) that were tradable on marketplaces like Magic Eden, Solanart, Fractal, and Solsea, with a bridge to swap Solana-based Neocollectibles to Polygon. Its clients/community were primarily existing Neopets fans and Web3/NFT collectors. In 2026, the Neopets team announced it was transitioning away from the Neopets Metaverse game, reallocating resources to a new game direction, while continuing to support Web3 holders of the existing NFT collections.Grant Funding
