Nervos is a modular blockchain network designed for security, decentralization, and interoperability. Its foundational layer, the Common Knowledge Base (CKB), is a flexible blockchain secured by Proof-of-Work. CKB is also a Bitcoin-isomorphic Layer2 solution that enhances Bitcoin with programmability and scalability via the RGB++ protocol, UTXO Stack, and CKB Lightning Network, avoiding cross-chain bridges. The network leverages a battle-tested PoW consensus for security and is highly decentralized and permissionless. It supports all cryptographic primitives, enabling seamless interoperability with heterogeneous blockchains and various Layer 2 solutions. With protocol-level account abstraction, it facilitates the creation of universal dApps.
