Description
ORE is a public currency for the open internet, not issued or controlled by any state, which can be earned, spent, and used without banks or middlemen. Described as a "digital gold" primitive for decentralized finance, ORE is a scarce crypto commodity mineable via proof-of-work on the Solana blockchain. Users can dedicate CPU cores to increase their hashpower for mining, with a status dashboard to monitor activity and claim rewards. A desktop application is also available to enhance the mining experience. ORE aims to be an accessible hard money asset that is fun to mine, easy to use, and natively interoperable with decentralized finance. Other mining methods include providing liquidity (proof-of-liquidity), with future plans for proof-of-post (social media content) and proof-of-mobile. The project has been audited by two independent firms, features open-source smart contracts, and the development team plans to freeze the protocol for long-term security. The platform also includes features for staking, trading, and posting.
