PDC Finance

PDC Finance is a decentralized alternative finance marketplace on EVM-based chains that enables lending and borrowing based on post-dated crypto payment commitments (PDCs) represented as NFTs. It uses stablecoins (USDC/USDT/DAI) and Gelato automation to process future-dated payments trustlessly, letting recipients hold or sell their PDC NFTs on a marketplace for early liquidity. It targets payers, receivers, and investors/financiers within Web3 seeking trade-finance-like, uncorrelated yield opportunities.

Description

PDC Finance is a global decentralized application built on EVM-based chains that introduces an alternative finance marketplace for lending and borrowing centered on post-dated crypto payment commitments (PDCs). Payers issue on-chain, immutable commitments to pay a stablecoin amount (USDC/USDT/DAI) to a receiver on a future date; receivers get an NFT representing this commitment, similar to Uniswap LP NFTs, and can either hold it until maturity or list it on the PDC Marketplace to sell to investors for early liquidity. The platform is powered by Gelato automation bots that execute payments on the maturity date without user involvement, removing the need for escrow. PDC Finance positions itself as bridging traditional trade finance with DeFi, offering investors an asset class uncorrelated to market price fluctuations, with plans to integrate decentralized identity protocols (DNS, UD, Polygon ID), decentralized arbitration, Gnosis, and Metamask institutional support. It serves payers (businesses/individuals making future-dated payments), receivers (who can monetize commitments early), and investors/financiers who assess payer creditworthiness to fund discounted commitments. The project originated from the Moralis Google Defining DeFi Hackathon and was built by a small team of finance and blockchain development professionals.
