Description

Founded in Dublin in 2017, Piprate builds infrastructure for trusted, identity-centric data exchange, originally focused on complex data-sharing problems in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Its flagship product, MetaLocker, provides secure, encrypted data lockers that let organisations and individuals exchange sensitive data under explicit, auditable access rules without centralising custody or creating unnecessary copies. Sequel extends this model to allow communities and ecosystems to collaborate around shared services and digital legacy without pooling underlying data, and ChainLocker is offered as part of its product suite. Piprate also serves the insurance sector directly through a dedicated solutions offering, and is exploring 'Persona,' a future personal intelligence layer that would let individuals interact with AI systems using their own data on their own terms.
