PlaceWar is a blockchain-based battle-to-earn game built around 90,000 tokenized 'Pixel Land' NFTs that make up a map called Placedonia. Players own Tanks, Defenders, Pixels, and Tech as NFTs, battle rogue drones in PVE skirmishes, build and defend homebases on their pixels, and trade assets in an in-game marketplace, with a native $PLACE token used for the in-game economy.

PlaceWar describes itself as a multichain NFT gaming playground centered on 'Battle To Earn' gameplay. Players can engage in PVE Skirmish battles against rogue drones (Pegatron) to win parts for upgrading gear, and can 'Create, By Conquest' to join what the site calls an internet culture war using their own pixel. The core asset is Pixel Land: 90,000 pixel-based land NFTs that serve as home bases for tanks and act as color units on the Placedonia map; higher rarity pixels unlock more building and resource-production options. Players collect resources, construct buildings, and defend their pixel, and can also earn rewards by submitting artwork/paintings to be voted on by 'PlaceDAO' for a seasonal Creator Reward.
