Plebbit

Plebbit is a serverless, adminless, decentralised, and open-source peer-to-peer social media platform. It uses public key based addressing and a peer-to-peer pubsub network to let anyone create and moderate their own communities (subplebbits) without relying on centralized servers or global admins.

Description

Plebbit is a decentralised, peer-to-peer social media protocol designed to be serverless, adminless, and infinitely scalable without compromising security, performance, or decentralisation. It works through 'Public Key Based Addressing' and a peer-to-peer pubsub network, allowing users to create and join boards known as 'subplebbits', each independently created and moderated by its own creator rather than by any global admin or moderator team. The project is fully open-source, enabling third-party developers to build their own clients on top of the protocol; examples of clients under development include Plebchan (a 4chan-style imageboard interface) and Seedit (a Reddit-style interface) and Plebones. Plebbit primarily serves users and developers interested in censorship-resistant, decentralised alternatives to centralised social media platforms.
