QuarkChain

QuarkChain is a blockchain infrastructure project originally built around sharding technology for a scalable, EVM-compatible mainnet, and now focused on building the 'Super World Computer' — a fully decentralized, highly customized OP Stack Layer 2 rollup offering parallel EVM execution, low-cost programmable storage via EthStorage, non-transferable Soul Gas Tokens for user onboarding, and the web3:// protocol for decentralized web hosting.

Description

QuarkChain began as a flexible, scalable blockchain platform using sharding (multi-VM, multi-consensus, multi-ledger architecture) with an EVM-compatible mainnet (QuarkChain Mainnet 2.0), supporting cross-shard transactions and multi-native tokens, and cultivated an ecosystem of 70+ partner projects and a global developer community. The organization has since pivoted its current focus to building the 'Super World Computer' (SWC), a highly customized OP Stack Layer 2 rollup designed to overcome limitations of existing Ethereum L2s in security, computation, storage, user onboarding, and frontend decentralization. Key initiatives include an advanced multi-section fault proof algorithm (developed with an OP grant), parallel EVM execution research (Block-STM, programmable access lists), integration of EthStorage as an L3 for cheap large-scale on-chain storage, the non-transferable 'Soul Gas Token' for seamless Web2-to-Web3 onboarding, and the web3:// protocol (ERC-4804/6860) enabling decentralized, unstoppable on-chain web serving. QuarkChain publishes ongoing technical research and serves app developers and node operators building on its network and the broader Ethereum L2/OP Stack ecosystem.
