Description
RADAR describes itself as a global community of people thinking about and building better futures. It has produced four collective futures explorations, run public hackathons and education events, published 'The Curious Human's Field Guide to the Future' (shipped to 22 countries), and launched microgrants funded by a percentage of RADAR's profits that go into a community-voted grants pool once it reaches $5,000 USD. Members participate in experimental labs, worldbuilding exercises called 'Worldboarding', and a 'Signal Garden' of ideas across 26 categories. Ownership and agency are shared among members through the $SIGNAL token, which is earned through participation rather than purchased. RADAR has local chapters in Copenhagen, London, Singapore, Toronto, Vancouver, NYC, Amsterdam, Mexico and more, and also partners with private and public sector organizations on sponsored research, custom workshops, and other collaborations. The community emphasizes values of radical imagination, multiplayer maximalism, shared ownership and agency, and care as practice.Grant Funding
