Ranna is an open network of filmmakers originally based in Lisbon, Portugal, that creates high-impact films providing activist-led, top-tier coverage of social and climate justice initiatives, bypassing centralized, ever-changing big media agendas. As part of a growing independent media ecosystem, their mission is to amplify the voices and work of activists on the frontlines of social and climate struggles, share the stories of the most vulnerable and affected communities, and inspire, engage and mobilize more people to join the fight for a just, livable Earth. They rely on experienced content creators passionate about social and climate justice, supported by a growing community, using professional tools and skills to help awareness initiatives that are historically disadvantaged by fewer resources. Their content covers events and series such as documentaries, Fridays for Future actions, climate justice caravans, and community-led climate initiatives.Grant Funding
