React Network

React Network

React Network is a decentralized platform building the digital infrastructure to transform the grid edge into a resource for the energy system. It rewards individuals and communities for connecting distributed energy resources (DERs) like batteries and smart devices, creating Virtual Power Plants (VPPs). This helps to balance the grid, support the integration of renewable energy, and create a cheaper, cleaner, and more resilient energy future.
Distributed

Description

React Network is developing a decentralized digital infrastructure layer to manage distributed energy resources (DERs) and create Virtual Power Plants (VPPs). As the energy sector shifts towards intermittent renewables, React addresses grid instability by aggregating resources like home batteries and smart devices. The platform provides a data and connectivity layer, enabling these assets to participate in energy markets. It utilizes its native token, $KWH (an ERC-20 token on Polygon and Ethereum), to incentivize network participation, reward users with cash and crypto, and facilitate community governance. The system employs mechanisms like Proof-of-Energy and Proof-of-Location to ensure the reliability and legitimacy of connected assets. By building this community-owned cooperative, React aims to accelerate the decarbonization of the energy system, making it more stable, sustainable, and efficient.
