Description

The Research Council of Norway is Norway's national funding body for research and innovation, distributing more than NOK 11 billion annually to research and innovation projects. It funds research organisations, companies, and public sector entities through calls for proposals, and organizes its investments into 12 project portfolios, each overseen by a dedicated board. The Council also administers programs such as Horizon Europe, FRIPRO, The Green Platform Initiative, and SkatteFUNN, and provides guidance on research policy and strategy, statistics and evaluations. Its clients and stakeholders are primarily Norwegian research organisations, companies, and public sector bodies seeking funding for research and innovation projects.
