Research Integrity Chain (RICH) is a London-based deep-tech startup with Ukrainian roots, launched in January 2024. The company offers an innovative platform using blockchain and AI to protect and monetize intellectual property (IP) in both the scientific and business sectors. The platform addresses the crisis in digital content protection and research integrity by creating immutable, tamper-proof timestamps and cryptographic records for content, serving as proof of creation and integrity. This system allows users to track interactions, manage ownership rights, and control content usage, tackling issues like plagiarism and the challenge of authenticating human authorship in the age of generative AI. RICH aims to provide an accessible, integrated ecosystem for the entire content lifecycle. The company is backed by Tabula Rasa, a Ukrainian IT group, and is raising a seed round to scale its operations in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and the EU, with pilot projects at institutions like Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the London Business School, and the University of California, Berkeley.
