SeedInvest was an equity crowdfunding platform allowing everyday investors to buy equity stakes in private companies without requiring multi-million dollar commitments. In May 2023, StartEngine acquired SeedInvest's assets, including its email lists for users, investors, and founders, folding SeedInvest into its own equity crowdfunding platform which connects over 1.8 million users and 1,000+ private companies with over $1.3 billion invested to date. SeedInvest is no longer accepting new investments as a standalone platform; former SeedInvest investors can create a StartEngine account using the same email address to access migrated investments, browse current investment opportunities, use a secondary market for trading shares, and manage an SIPC-insured investment account.
