Shodai

Shodai is the agreement layer for human and AI agents, a protocol for creating 'living agreements' — commitments that encode who does what, track fulfillment, and automatically execute what happens next. It serves developers and builders creating agent-to-agent commitments, service agreements and invoicing, and ecosystem contributor programs.

Description

Shodai is a protocol that brings a new primitive to digital infrastructure: living agreements — state machines that encode obligations, track fulfillment, and automatically execute next steps such as payments, disputes, and confirmations. Unlike static signed documents, a Shodai agreement continues to function after signing, moving through define, deploy, execute, and prove stages, producing signed, verifiable proof of delivery and building a permanent, composable history of honored commitments owned by no single party. Builders on Shodai include AI agents negotiating terms and proving delivery, businesses managing service agreements, retainers, SOWs and milestone-based invoicing with built-in accountability, and ecosystems running grants and contributor programs with structured workflows from submission to payout. Shodai offers a Developer Portal with agent-friendly docs, examples, and a TypeScript SDK for the full agreement lifecycle, along with a Demo App. The organization is backed by Joe Lubin and is operated by CNS Labs.
