Description

Spellfire: Re-Master the Magic is the revival of the second oldest collectible card game (CCG), originally created in 1994 by TSR, Inc. Now driven by its fan community and developed by studios like Three Towers, the game integrates modern technology with classic gameplay. It combines physical cards with digital counterparts owned as NFTs on the blockchain, primarily the Ethereum network. The ecosystem features a play-to-earn model, allowing players to earn the native $SPELLFIRE token and ETH through gameplay, tournaments, and by creating their own unique cards. Players can trade assets in a digital marketplace, upgrade their cards, and even experience them in augmented reality (AR). The project, which raised $3.8 million in 2021, is transitioning into a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), aiming to give governance and co-ownership to its community of players. The game is supported by Reality Games Art ltd and a board of advisors from firms like DAO Maker and Shima Capital.
