It aims to let creators, writers and storytellers own and benefit from the content they create rather than ceding control to a small number of media corporations.

Description
Take Up Space describes itself as a global collective of change-makers building the future of decentralised media through TUS DAO. The organization critiques the current media and creator economy, noting the concentration of US media ownership among a few corporations, the lack of authentic representation for Black Americans, and the low earnings and overwork faced by most creators. In response, it is building a community-owned media model on Web3/blockchain technology so creators can own their stories and retain more of the value they create, with decisions about representation made by a diverse rather than homogenous group. Its core values are described as intersectional, impactful, and creator-first. To launch, the organization is dropping 150 Founders Token NFTs, which serve as both a membership pass and governance token for TUS DAO, targeting creators, writers, storytellers and media lovers as members/clients.Grant Funding
