Description

Taraxa is a Layer-1 blockchain platform that utilizes a blockDAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) structure and is fully EVM-compatible. It aims to provide high transaction speeds (over 5,000 TPS with a roadmap to 50,000 TPS), low transaction fees, and low hardware requirements for running nodes, making it a democratized network. The platform is designed to support DeFi and Social AI applications. Key features include its t-Graph consensus mechanism, True Finality in under 3.7 seconds, and instant transaction block inclusion. Taraxa offers a grant program to encourage development on its ecosystem and provides tools like an ETH bridge, a BASE bridge, and a visualizer for its network. The project was started in 2018 by two Stanford engineers and launched its mainnet in 2023.
