Description

Tether Wallet is a self-custodial mobile wallet for storing, sending, and receiving Tether stablecoins and Bitcoin. Users hold their own private keys, with all transactions signed locally on the device before being broadcast to the network. Supported assets include USD₮ on Ethereum, Polygon, Plasma, and Arbitrum; XAU₮ on the same networks; USA₮ on Ethereum; and Bitcoin via on-chain transactions and the Lightning Network. Human-readable @tether.me usernames replace blockchain addresses for in-wallet transfers and LNURL-compatible Bitcoin wallets. Network fees are paid in the asset being transferred, without requiring separate gas tokens. Wallet backup is available via encrypted cloud storage or a manual 12-word recovery phrase.
