The House Fund is a Berkeley-focused pre-seed and early-stage venture capital fund. It invests in technology startups founded by UC Berkeley alumni, faculty, students, and affiliates, while providing mentorship, recruiting, fundraising, AI expertise, and access to its broader Berkeley network.

Description
BAIR Grant is a university-based AI funding program created by The House Fund in collaboration with Berkeley AI Research professors, AI-focused US corporations, and philanthropists. It offers up to $250,000 through an uncapped SAFE and up to $600,000 in free compute through its startup funding program, while its research funding program is to be unveiled. Eligible applicants include BAIR researchers and UC Berkeley-affiliated AI researchers such as students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, undergraduates conducting research, and affiliates. AI@The House is a partnership with seven leading AI researchers focused on bringing Berkeley AI startups to the forefront. It connects academia, startups, corporations, and talent across areas including theory, statistics, computer vision, systems, robotics, security, algorithms, and hardware, while providing early-stage companies with resources such as rent-free space, recruiting, campus and alumni access, software and services, mentorship, fundraising support, customer introductions, events, and community support.Category: Venture Services

The House AI Accelerator is a small-cohort, in-person Berkeley program supporting AI-first and AI-enabled startups from validation through growth. It invests through a standard SAFE for 7–10%, offers up to $750K in free compute and partnerships with Databricks, Microsoft, and OpenAI, and provides personalized mentorship, customer-acquisition support, fundraising preparation, recruiting assistance, and access to The House Fund’s Berkeley founder community. It is open to Cal alumni, faculty, students, and affiliate entrepreneurs, including teams at very early or more advanced stages.Category: Launch Pad
