It offered topic-based Communities run by volunteer moderators, Reading Buddies for discovering friends’ posts, Book Pages that aggregate content by title, and customizable collections and feed filters. The service was described as ad-free and included safety features (NSFW tagging, reporting, blocking) and a Code of Honor. It also had a creator Marketplace with badges, Tome Tokens as in-app currency, and an optional Tome Keeper subscription with perks; a “Goodbye, Tome” post dated May 6, 2026 indicates the service has been shut down.
