Description

Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures (VKAV) is a pan-African venture capital fund focused on emerging growth-stage companies that address significant infrastructure and market gaps across Africa. The firm's unique approach centers on three pillars: systemic value creation (pairing a VC mindset with private equity operational experience and dedicated support in talent/people ops, legal, ESG/impact, and finance), an Asia LP base and network that expands funding and strategic partnership opportunities, and an ecosystem plug that facilitates curated forums and portfolio engagement within the African VC landscape. VKAV closed its first fund at $60 million in April 2024, having previously raised additional investments from Japan's JICT and Yoren. Its portfolio spans fintech, mobility, healthtech, proptech, cleantech, e-commerce and deep tech companies including Moove, NowPay, KOKO Networks, Ceviant, Chari, Shuttlers, Nawy, Julaya, Chefaa, Cloudline, Zone, and Tagaddod, serving founders and businesses across Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, South Africa and Francophone Africa.
