Wakweli is a decentralized certification protocol that verifies the authenticity of digital information, including NFTs, social-media profiles, URLs, and news. Its community-powered Proof-of-Democracy process uses $WAKU incentives for certificate requests, validation, and challenges.

Description
Wakweli operates a certification protocol on Base, an EVM Layer-2 blockchain, to help combat digital fraud and establish trust in tokenized assets and other online information. Users can request certificates, while community-elected certifiers review them through its Proof-of-Democracy consensus mechanism; participants stake and earn $WAKU tokens. The live platform includes certificate requests and reviews, and Wakweli also provides a Chrome extension that displays certification status for supported digital information.Grant Funding
