WaterDAO (WaterLAB) is building a decentralized platform that incentivizes the generation of water from positive sources, such as sustainable desalination, through a voluntary water market. It uses a proof-of-water protocol to mint WATER tokens backed by tokenized water credits, enabling individuals, corporations and organizations to buy, earn, retire or redeem water credits, while qualified water producers around the world can earn WATER for generating water.

WaterDAO also runs IP Projects, which are intellectual-property NFT projects that combine water technology with intellectual property management, letting backers own a share of water tech innovations via IP-NFTs.
