Waterfall Protocol
Waterfall is an EVM-compatible, highly scalable and decentralized blockchain protocol built on BlockDAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) technology, enabling parallel block production for high throughput and low transaction fees. Its core developer is Blue Wave Inc, with governance operating through a DAO structured as a Switzerland Association. It serves developers building EVM-compatible dApps, smart contracts, and tokens/NFTs, as well as individuals and infrastructure providers running validator nodes.

Description
Waterfall Protocol is a blockchain network combining scalability and decentralization through its use of BlockDAG technology, which allows parallel and simultaneous block production. The network is EVM-compatible, allowing Ethereum-based applications to run on it, and features two-way bridges with popular protocols, dynamically adjusting block production to maintain low transaction fees. It has demonstrated performance of 32,434 tx/s with potential for much higher throughput, and supports low hardware requirements (4.0 CPU, 12.0 RAM) for running full nodes, promoting high decentralization. The protocol supports easy creation of tokens and NFTs, and is secured via a DAO with one-human-one-vote governance and advanced DAG-based network security. The Waterfall ecosystem operates fluidly with its core developer, Blue Wave Inc (Software Development), and its DAO, structured as a Switzerland Association, handling governance. The project has progressed through multiple testnets (including Testnet 7 and Testnet 8) and launched its MainNet in 2024, with future plans including subnetworks, sharding, portable device clients, and new consensus mechanisms. It serves developers, individuals running validator nodes, and infrastructure providers.Grant Funding
