Web3Games.com was a project aimed at accelerating the world's transition to fully on-chain gaming. It was developing Web3Games.com 2.0, moving from asset-on-chain to a fully on-chain ecosystem. This included the W3Gamez Network, a Layer-2 Optimistic Rollup blockchain designed for gaming, leveraging OP Stack and NEAR for data availability. The ecosystem featured two tokens: $WGT for the platform and $W3G for the chain. Despite securing $4 million in funding and having a detailed public roadmap, the project has announced it is sunsetting its services. The team expressed gratitude to its community for their support since its launch in 2021.
