Description
A Staircase Home by Linda Dounia is a collection of 12 digital artworks made as tufted carpets. An algorithm based on the staircase to Dounia’s childhood home in Mbour, Senegal, informs the recurring zigzag motif, connecting past and present as well as technology and craft. The works were conceived during a trip to Morocco and draw on Moroccan artisanal traditions.
