Description
A Thousand Layers of Stomach is an abstract work by A.A.Murakami that explores nature and technology through creative code replicating processes of Asari clam-shell formation. A custom on-site knitting machine turns that code into expansive textile wall pieces, accompanied by a film about humanity’s connection to the sea. Debuted at Art Blocks Weekend in Marfa in 2024 and later presented at NOMAD Abu Dhabi, visitor-generated digital knits become panels in a living tapestry intended to evolve as it travels to museums and cultural events.
