Blockchain Abstraction Layer (BAL) provides an abstract interface for common smart-contract operations across supported blockchain protocols, allowing the same contract code to define actions, store persistent data as blockchain tables, log status and debugging information, and handle errors on multiple chains. The BAL page also describes a BAL TRL Tracker for monitoring technology-development progress, including planning, budget control, research-result evaluation, deliverable reviews, and technology-readiness-level updates across blockchains.
