Description
Bokolo Cash is a central bank digital currency system in a proof-of-concept launched by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands and Soramitsu on November 1, 2023. CBSI issues it as a digital representation of the Solomon Dollar for participating individuals, businesses, merchants, and commercial banks. The system uses a permissioned Hyperledger Iroha 2 blockchain, supports two-tier KYC, and simulates cross-border transactions by bridging CBDC tokens to the SORA network through Fearless Wallet.
