ChainLocker is Piprate's enterprise data sharing platform, built as a commercial extension of the open-source MetaLocker framework. It replaces brittle, uncontrolled data-sharing workflows with an architecture where custody stays with the data owner, sharing terms are immutably recorded, and provenance accumulates continuously for future reuse and defensibility. Core features include ChainLocker Vaults for AES-256 end-to-end encrypted storage (on-prem, cloud, IPFS, or web services), 'lockers' for permanent bidirectional data exchange channels between participants, and cryptographic audit trails that can serve as evidence for regulators or legal counsel. The platform is backend-agnostic, supporting integrations such as Hyperledger Fabric, Flow, AWS (including AWS S3), and relational databases, with flexible APIs and command-line tools designed for enterprise deployment. ChainLocker targets organisations - such as those in insurance and other regulated industries - that need to exchange data across organisational boundaries with strong requirements around security, privacy, auditability, and long-term data value.
