Cronos zkEVM is a ZK layer-2 blockchain network secured by Ethereum, built on the ZKsync ZK Stack. It uses zero-knowledge proofs to batch transactions and post validity proofs to Ethereum for settlement. The chain features zkCRO as its native yield-bearing gas token, backed by staked CRO, and connects to Ethereum through a native bridge for ERC-20 token transfers.
