Cube tokens are decentralized leveraged tokens designed to give users simple leveraged exposure to a variety of crypto assets without the risk of liquidation. Tokens like cubeBTC roughly track BTC price to the third power, while inverse tokens like invBTC track the inverse relationship, with continuous rebalancing rather than the periodic rebalancing used by centralized-exchange leveraged tokens (e.g., FTX or Binance). Because the system operates as a pool, it is a zero-sum game among holders (apart from protocol fees), avoiding issues like volatility drag or rebalance frontrunning that affect other leveraged token designs. The product supported ETH, BTC, AAVE, LINK, UNI and YFI, with a dedicated frontend at cubes.fi, and was noted as unaudited, with performance relative to the rest of the pool rather than the underlying asset alone.
