Devils of Kaunas offers a collection of History-Backed Tokens (HBTs), digital alter-egos of the unique, handmade Devil statues and masks exhibited in the Devil Museum in Kaunas, Lithuania, created in collaboration with and officially certified by the museum. Each HBT is a high-quality 3D digital twin of a historically or culturally significant physical artifact, designed to be Metaverse-ready (usable as an avatar, mask, or gallery display) and minted on the Ethereum blockchain. The project is developed by Zeitls, which introduces the concept of 'non-physical rights' to define and protect ownership of digitalized objects in the Metaverse, and plans to expand digitization efforts beyond the Devils collection to other historically or culturally significant objects such as cars, books, or architecture. It serves NFT collectors, art and history enthusiasts, and Metaverse users interested in owning authenticated digital collectibles backed by real-world museum artifacts.
