Description
Diem Blockchain is a decentralized, programmable database intended to support a low-volatility cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange. The Diem protocol uses validators to maintain programmable resources owned by public-key-authenticated accounts, processes transactions through consensus, and uses Move for core mechanisms and smart contracts. The documentation describes Diem Core as an open-source prototype implementation.
