Description
Diode Collab creates secure tunnels between team members within a protected "Zone," combining chat, file syncing, and web browsing capabilities in a decentralized, local-first architecture that avoids reliance on third-party servers. It offers end-to-end encrypted direct messaging, group chat, and file syncing, functioning like a combined VPN and collaboration tool that allows devices to direct-connect when on the same network. The platform supports secure upload sites for sharing information with external parties who lack the app installed, and protects user identities by requiring only a pseudo-anonymous username with self-custody credentials that are never stored on a server. It is used for chat, VPN, files, notes, wikis, secure sites, and dashboards, targeting teams working with sensitive or regulated real-world data. Diode Collab is available for macOS, Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, iOS, and Android, and is one of several distinct products in the Diode suite (alongside CLI, Vault, and Network).
