Description
Don Nicanor is a project at Mario Oertlinger’s 727-hectare property in Tostado, Santa Fe, in Argentina’s Gran Chaco. Sponsored by The Nature Conservancy, it restores a heavily deforested landscape through silvopastoral systems and biological corridors. The intervention includes planting more than 18,000 native algarrobo, espinillo, and mistol trees across 54 hectares to support biodiversity, soil quality, carbon sequestration, climate resilience, and sustainable livestock production.
