Ethereum Attestation Service is an open-source public-good protocol and base layer for making attestations—digital signatures over structured information—onchain or offchain. Its architecture centers on smart contracts for registering schemas and creating attestations, with support for resolvers, revocation, delegation, private data, zero-knowledge proofs, and composable referenced attestations. EAS is deployed across Ethereum, Layer 2 networks, and testnets, and is free to use, tokenless, and permissionless.
EAS supports developers and non-technical builders through its SDK, contracts, CLI, indexing tools, GraphQL API, documentation, and EAS Explorer. Typical applications include identity and credential verification, reputation systems, supply-chain provenance, voting, content authenticity, ticketing, notary services, healthcare records, and private proofs. The project is built by and for the Ethereum community.
