It introduces a high-speed, fair-orderbook design that eliminates the mempool and associated issues, ensuring that only executed trades are settled on the Solana blockchain. This provides top-tier exchange performance with full on-chain trust. At its core is the Continuum layer, which offers predictable, first-come-first-serve transaction sequencing, preventing front-running. This modular sequencing layer can be easily integrated by any rollup or DeFi application to manage user actions fairly. Furthermore, applications built on Fermi leverage a unified liquidity layer, enhancing composability and capital efficiency. Currently, this layer integrates a lending protocol, a market-making vault, and a decentralized exchange.
