GLIF is a DeFi protocol operating on the Filecoin network, a decentralized storage network (DePIN). It has provided tools and applications for the Filecoin ecosystem since before the mainnet launch in 2019. GLIF's offerings include the GLIF Wallet (the first web wallet for Filecoin), a multisig wallet trusted by Protocol Labs and the Filecoin Foundation, public and private Filecoin nodes for developers, a verifier service for issuing DataCap, a FEVM-enabled block explorer, and GLIF Pools, its premier DeFi protocol. The platform allows hardware providers to borrow FIL without fixed durations and scale their operations by reusing pledge collateral. GLIF aims to address capital inefficiency in file storage and has recently introduced a points system ahead of a token launch.
