Granite Protocol is a Bitcoin-backed borrowing and lending protocol on the Stacks blockchain. Borrowers deposit Bitcoin collateral to access stablecoin loans without fixed repayment schedules while maintaining a healthy loan-to-value ratio; collateral is isolated and not rehypothecated. Liquidity providers deposit stablecoins into a pool that funds those loans and earn interest-based returns. Granite uses sBTC to connect Bitcoin with DeFi and limits liquidations to the amount needed to restore solvency.
