MetaMask Card is a self-custodial payment card linked directly to the MetaMask wallet, enabling crypto spending at Mastercard merchant locations without requiring users to pre-load funds to a custodial account. Assets remain in the user's wallet until the point of purchase. The card is issued as a virtual debit card by default and is compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay, with an optional physical Metal tier available at an annual subscription fee. Purchases earn onchain cashback rewards in mUSD.
