Meter Network is a live public blockchain platform using hybrid Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake infrastructure, HotStuff-2 consensus, instant finality, EVM compatibility, parallel transaction processing, and decentralized validators. Its native MTR currency is described as being pegged to 10 kWh, while MTRG is used for governance and staking. Meter also provides cross-chain functionality through Meter Passport and developer infrastructure for deploying decentralized applications.
